Subject: RE: Well water issues

I had to add a well this spring because the old well wouldn't keep up with the farm. We have a pump house where the jet pump, tank, and pressure switch for the old well are located so I installed the tank and pressure switch for the new well right next to the old. I ordered stainless steel fittings and valves from Amazon (local plumbing supply houses are stupid with their prices if you walk in off the street and pay cash) and plumbed it so everything could be run from either well. Right now the house is supplied from the old well because we like the water and everything else is supplied by the new well. No one wants to work on the old galvanized pipe well and jet pump so a back up well is comforting. My family and livestock don't like being without water for long.
