N E Illinois | I had a bachelor neighbor that inherited some and bought some land.
He had one nephew who farmed. Took over after uncle retired. Uncle helped for several years.
He and I were good friends.
He told me he’d be up a creek with a broken paddle if it wasn’t for nephew and his wife.
Left everything to one nephew.
Others weren’t too happy , but so be it.
It was his to do with as he saw fit.
Another bachelor neighbor always professed a niece was getting his property.maybe just seeing if farming nephew was going to bail.
He ended up leaving to the nephew farming and looking after him
