NW Iowa | Basis tells me how much corn is in an area.
Here we have been running +40 on corn. $4.50-4.75
They get corn shaked loose $4.75 and above
With the price of oil, they can bid more, they are clearing money wholesale at the E plants.
If we stick to our guns here, we can keep a pretty good floor under corn.
Any corn left in my area, they don't need the money or they would have sold
With the rain and floods here, we will be deficient corn in NW IA long term.
Lots of competition for it here.
