I would agree. Unless they are exploiting a tax loophole for you, they are going to take more money from you than simple bank loan interest or at the very least, tie your money up where you have penalties if you need it. No one is going to do something for you for less than the cost of money. Now, if you see benefit to having life insurance, that even things out some. At my age with adult children, I'd rather pass on assets vs. life insurance.
