Unless you already have the forklift tank or just like the look of one, go with the grill tank.

I think forklift tanks are only really setup to deliver liquid out of the normal delivery port. Grill bottles have vapor delivery valve with the standard POL female your torch regulator screws into. There’s probably other propane cylinders that are the size to fit tank cart where an acetylene tank would go if you want to go specialized.

I once saw some info about an additive for propane to increase the flame temperature, but last time I searched, I couldn’t find where to buy it. Anyone know anything about that? Link to the site..,

I know there’s propylene industrial fuel gas, but have never heard of it being used as torch fuel around here or whether it would be cheaper than acetylene if it was used.
