Located in mid Michigan and wondering how much horsepower is needed to pull a JD714 disk chisel about 8 in deep on loamy clay ground? Would a heavy MFWD tractor with front duals do it like an 8530 or 8320R do it or do I have to have an 8 wheeler to do it? Looking at upgrading tillage tractors and want to stay with a MfWD but would like to pull a 15 shank.
Will need lots of extra weight and it’ll still be a load. Pull a 15 shank with a 9200 and it’s a struggle at times. |
How much HP to pull 15 shank JD 714 Chisel? Can a MFWD do it?
