West central ND | Havre beneath the streets is a fun tour.
Stop in Shelby at the rest area. Not a traditional rest area. It has a carousel and a few other neat things for kids.
Glacier Park is awesome. Get up early to beat the crowds. On the west side a hike up to Avalanche Lake is awesome.
If you like history the Lewis and Clark museum at Great Falls is nice. More Lewis and Clark stuff at The Gates of the Mountain and at Three Forks. Three Forks is where Sakakawea was captured at 12 years old and taken back to the Mandan Village.
Little Big Horn Battlefield is interesting.
On your way back a stop at Medora ND is interesting. A musical show in an outdoor amphitheater. Teddy Roosevelt was a rancher in Medora. | |
