Faunsdale, AL | I always have. I’m not sure you have to even turn on the key but I got in the habit with my first 9600 since the priming pump would actually swell the steel case of the fuel filters. Somehow the relief valve in that injection pump was really stiff. I thought turning the key on might open a valve into/through the pump. Probably doesn’t do that, but having the electric pump helping isn’t a bad thing.
I’ve never bled the filter, just pushed the air on through and back to the tank.
Always part of my routine along with checking for racoons in radiator!
