Lucky for me,  Agco shows that  resistor available.   It's about 10 inches long with  connectors, and the  resistor in the middle. 
  It is a little pricey at 20 bucks for a  30 cent resistor..  but it'll be here Monday,  and the proper rating.   

I should've known better... there was a good reason for all the extra  connectors, and adapters on that sensor circuit.
