NW Wisconsin
I would suggest renting a motorhome instead of a jeep. With the motorhome you have a place to sleep.only unpack your stuff once, and there are plenty of RV parks to stay at. We ate breakfast in the motorhome, leftovers from the evening before at a restaurant, and had snacks to nibble on during the day. It was a 28 foot RV, and if you have ever driven a farm truck apiece of cake to drive. They were all Ford 550’s with automatics.

In 17 days we went from Anchorage to Whittier, Seward, Homer, Talkneetna, Fairbanks, Valdez,, and back to Anchorage.

The places to see are Homer, Seward, Talkneetna, Denali, and Fairbanks. The drive from Fairbanks to Valdez is next to the Alaskan Pipeline. Talkneetna was the inspiration for the TV show Northern Exposure and a cool town. Homer is a must see place for halibut fishing, Saturday morning Farmers Market with leftover hippies from the 60’s and Russian settlers descendants.

Take your time and enjoy the scenery. We have been there 2X and Alaska is a must see destination

We used this for RV rental and very satisfied.
