Louise, TX | Southern Rust is present here. It came to late to affect our crop, but spores are present. I am in the direct path of Beryl.
We get Southern Rust quite often due to wind currents out of Mexico.
I had a crop consultant tell me a long time ago that we have the highest occurrence of corn leaf diseases of anywhere in US.
This is due to our high humidity and the diseases coming out of Mexico.
Edit: Also the leafhoppers that affected the Argentina corn crop were found here at the end of the growing season.
