WC IL | Yeah, 34 years as a CCA and in seed sales means I don’t know anything. Have written many nutrient management plans, analyzed hundreds of soil tests, walked more fields of corn and beans than you will see in your lifetime, diagnosing disease and insect issues, as well as nutrient issues. I just don’t pretend to know what is going on 500 miles away like so many here seem to be able to do.
Anything that doesn’t fit on your tiny box of being acceptable is dismissed as not true. In a 5 minute drive I can find fields that are probably going to be the best ever on those acres, and other fields that are going to struggle to make APH. What so many here aren’t willing to accept is that not every acre in the I states is class A land, and that Illinois is a huge state north to south, with lots of variation in crop conditions from one end to the other, and anyone who ever posts that their crop is struggling in Illinois is called a liar by somebody who lives states away. | |
