I think you’d get more answers or opinions if you were a little more clear.

Are we talking an NO3 or NO3-N number?

5 500 or 5000?

Silage bales? Here we can count on ensiling to cut the N level 50%, but it’s gonna take 6 weeks to do so.

What are you feeding? If it’s feeder cattle, limit it to a small amount of the ration <25%, and feed plenty of grain with it. At that point it acts like feed urea in a high energy diet, and becomes protein.
