Good point about spreading the load- but I'd guess that if the generator came with a 50 AMP 240 RV, then it was set-up to either split the max rating over multiple 120v plugs or deliver max capacity at that one 240v plug.

For example, this unit of the same spec appears configured to deliver the entire load over the one plug - it has one 50 AMP outlet.
