Subject: RE: Sausage burgers

West Central Wisconsin
Different regions have different terms so I'm guessing here. Around Wisconsin many meat markets offer brat patties. Basically fresh bratwurst seasoned pork in bulk form. Usually a little cheaper than if stuffed in a natural casing like a bratwurst. You could make your own with ground, unseasoned, store bought pork and a mix of your liking or buy your favorite fresh sausage, (raw), and break the casing to form a patty. I, personally don't care for the brat patties because they don't hold the juicy flavor a cased bratwurst has. Here is a link to a company that offers excellent seasoning kits to make your own sausage. Many meat markets and grocery stores also offer this brand in their store. https://aclegg.com/products/leggs-signature/sausage-seasonings/
