Airplane is far and away more efficient the coverage is as good as ground rig because of the mixing of air done by plane prop and speed of spraying.

All I know is we did a plane for 3 years in just a few fields a few years ago to try some. Saw some better plant health but never really saw a significant yield increase. Bought a Hagie and started spraying 20 gallon/acre and have been seeing a big increase in yield. Same products applied and low disease pressure just leaf blight of various kinds but no tar spot. The plane was easy for the farmer and that's about it. Will never go back.
