That's not a good sign! The buzzing noise could indicate a faulty component or a power surge damage. Since it's an old unit, it's possible that the power outage was the final straw. Try unplugging it from the wall outlet for 30 minutes to discharge it, then plug it back in and see if the buzzing stops. If not, it might be time to consider replacing it.
