I realize it is a temporary fix for now, but silicone should absolutely never be used on a roof. There are far better sealants suited for the task. I have seen enough cobbled up sealing jobs with silicone in 46 years in the building industry. It is not a cure all / fix all for everything that leaks. It's only rightful place is in the kitchen and bathroom.
