Planted a strip test last year... 30" rows started at 65K, 90K, 115k, 140k, 165k, 190k.... Little over acre in each strip... 65k yeilded the best and saw about a 1 bushel to 1.5 bushel drop up to 115-140k and then they just leveled off and no difference... I did not trust one year and one variety to plant any that low this year... Year got too hetic trying to get stuff in so never slowed down to do a test this year... Planted 30"s at avg of 115k to 130k as we got later... Did do some 30s vrs 15s on a farm... but that really slows ya down planting twice... But will be interesting test as early planted beans look pretty good so far around here...
