NW IL, Mercer County | I had a field with this exact issue where it meets a road culvert. My tiling and excavating guy reshaped the 100’ leading up to it and the 40-50’ either side of it to get rid of the drop off. I seeded it this spring and so far so good.
This will work assuming you dont have a super deep ditch that it dumps into. It may still work, but will require more shaping.
