nw NC | I remember seeing state and county highway crews spraying trees and brush along road right of way years ago. I talked with the sprayer guy and was told that they were using some product that when sprayed on the leaves , it killed only the branches or limbs of the trees/brush that the product actually contacted. . The next year those trees that were sprayed had dead limbs and branches only where spray contacted them. The trees were basically pruned. It has been so long since then, I could not say what the product was. Recently there has been roadside right of way spraying of brush areas but the brush turns brown rather quickly, it does not appear that grass beneath brush is harmed. | |
