That's a good idea.  I have CA glue that might work or I could use the same epoxy I used to stabilize a knot in another project. 
This project has been a long drawn out affair.  Partly because of mistakes, partly because of the complexity, partly because of the size of the project, partly because ash seems to have grain running both directions and partly because I've had severe pain for some time.
