Red River Valley and Devils Lake Basin

Am I just being too picky about aircraft over my yard? Everybody seems to think they have to have their crops sprayed by aircraft now. So my yard adjoins two neighbours fields and yesterday they were using my property, including my yard, as a turning bay for the chopper. No idea what they were spraying but likely fungicide or insecticide. My cattle are easily spooked and I have not seen them since yesterday. These guys could just as easily have sprayed the field East/West and not had to turn over my property.

If you aren’t the one in the aircraft then your opinion about how they operate doesn’t matter. They are the ones who have to deal with the consequences if something bad happens so they should be able to decide what is the safest way to spray a field.

For you it is an annoyance, but for the pilot how they decide to do something could lead to an accident.
