That fact that someone exists is a far cry from jamming something down your throat. They aren't asking you to become a member. They just want to be accepted as fellow human beings.
The problem is that they're not just living their lives. They are attempting to normalize it, forcefully as they see necessary, and are being supported by some very powerful people who do not represent the other 97% of our society. Whether or not anyone wants to say it out loud, it's been forced upon our society (with great help from this current administration) and anyone that's spoken out against this attempt to normalize sadistic behavior has been vilified publicly and/or cancelled.
Jordan Peterson sums it up petty well in the link below. Tough to argue his logic, at least for people capable of rational thoughts.
