Brazos Valley | I have decided to switch companies to keep the 1% deductible. I tried to exclude wind and hail but my mortgage company won’t accept that idea. Since the premiums are almost the same between the two companies and there’s no benefit for loyalty I’ll move every year if I have to.
Another issue with insurance is the rampant abuse of it. Neighbor broke his hay rake arm by not stopping when it choked. His wife told me they talked to their insurance agent and claimed a tree fell on it. Bull crap. I hope they lose their coverage.
I’m currently in a cast from having wrist surgery. Filed under workers comp. I’m the owner of the company, I work in the field everyday hence the reason I pay. I could be getting 66% of my salary for 12 weeks or longer if I wanted, I declined and only asked they pay the medical. Not being able to physically do work did not change my income level so why be dishonest?
