| these black spots are on the inside of the leaf collar against the stalk. when peeled back and rubbed the spots don't smear or change in any way. these pics are of the same spot. inside vs outside
I should add I'm in SW oklahoma. had above average rain until mid June then shut off after pollination. I would say these didn't show up until R4 or later. this corn is ready for harvest soon. I would guess it at 20% right now. (no dryers here)

Is this a corn disease?
