NWMO | After looking at the pictures you posted, I’m leaning more towards debris. If the dark spots are not regularly shaped and are only on the sheath, it’s more than likely pollen debris that has began to decay. Physoderma is typically regularly shaped dots on the stalk and affects both the stalk rind and the pith. I’ll post a picture
