I don't know about farming in Hula or Dowdy area, but it almost seems that irrigation would be their #1 secret is irrigation. If they totally shut off irrigation and only relied on local rain then their story would be different.
I would totally agree on that, I took the comment they were referring to practices related to tillage, choices being no till, (which David was a long time no tiller, until he tried striptill), conventional till, and striptill. And banded fertility in the strip vs broadcast on notill.
