Subject: RE: yellow beans

I think there’s something to that about not getting any frost under the blizzard mess, although it would’ve been more pronounced if we’d had compaction issues in this area instead of all 2023 field operations done in dry conditions

It’s a ton of slow work digging dozens of start holes for lots of runs that are 100-300 feet long, and not sure I could stomach paying somebody else to do it, but- we’ve been aggressively tiling out the basins of existing terraces. It’s incredible the difference between those and stunted yellow beans in terraces with nothing but a single main and a riser the last few weeks. Same thing in the corn I sidedressed in June, there’s places that have been drowning out my whole life that are really transformed when not still saturated in between multiple storms.
