Northern Ontario
We usually plant 76-80 day corn, we're currently at early tassle in our 76 day (2150CHU). We did have to replant one field do to sandhill crane damage, replanted with some 70 day (2050CHU) there, shortest maturity corn we've tried. We average about 180bu/ac, our record year was 205bu, it will be interesting to see how this 70 day will yield. Hopefully this fall will treat us a bit better than last, harvested at 36-40%ish, finished harvest the week before Christmas. Dry it all in some stirators. Corn isn't our main crop only do about 100ac a year, it's mainly for the dairy herd and sell the rest to the feedmill.
