One of my dad's neighbors (passed >30yrs ago) used to like to drive around looking at the crops. Not sure if he got out to walk in the field but I remember being in the 1970 F250 he had with him once and we was wandering all over the gravel roads when he'd be looking at something and pointing it out.
Thought that was just normal? For sure around here.
