One thing is for sure if there was no egg then there would be no reproduction and therefore no offspring to carry that life form forward. It will take a little time and research to find more info on how and when that form of reproduction came about but the ability to pass on life info using 2 individuals gave life the opportunity to have mutations that allow changes that benefit reproduction rather than asexual reproduction. There is a life form that uses both called Hydra (I think that is correct spelling ) I think it uses sexual reproduction when under stress but asexual otherwise. So stress causes it to use sexual reproduction, with eggs, to come up with new mutations to overcome the stress. That is how evolution works. Just do a little search for lots of knowledgeable info on those options
So you are saying and I will agree with you up to a point that many forms of life come from eggs. Take the chickens that you mentioned in an above post the adult hen lays the fertilized egg and if all goes well a chick will hatch grow up and start the cycle again. The problem though is were did that first egg come from? You said the egg came first yet in everyday life as we look around the adults are producing the egg. So expain how that is logical. And why would you assume that the first eggs would be quite small? Could not the first eggs been quite large and evolution made them much smaller because that worked better? Where is your proof for your statement.
I have done lots of research over the years OC. The answers I have discovered do not seem to align with what you are suggesting is true. |
