Stoicism is a philosophy. It has nothing to do with God. We are put on this earth to CHOOSE relationship with God. Nothing else is of any value. Nothing of any philosophy can ever put one into relationship with God. There is no philosophy in Heaven : only God's Truth, wisdom, & reality. We have been given God's everything in print, that we might connect with Him thereby.
ALL humans have a belief system. Only those connected to God have a FAITH system which is The Father's demand. His truth MUST come out of our mouth( confession), with agreement from the human heart, based on trusting God in His Word to be true.
Faith & belief are two different things. Belief is of the mind. Faith is of the heart. There is a natural human faith: expressed in many ways: "John" will only own John Deere tractors" That is an expression of natural faith that only John Deere will meet his needs. Bill heads down the highway at high speed confident that the brakes will work to slow/stop him: that is an expression of natural faith- "the brakes always worked in the past" ...'till a brake line fails.....
It is not possible to be human & not have a belief system: even the insane have one- a wacked out belief system: that is why they are insane( along with demonic infestation).
Our connection to God can only be through the blood-bought salvation in Christ. It is NOT an idea. God is invisible to the human eye, but His Spirit infuses every atom & all of space in Heaven & this Universe. I do not have space here to expound on the experiences I have had by way of the Holy Spirit, but HE is more real than this universe. It must be a personal thing to connect with Him. Philosophy is a trap of damnation - like a drug for the mind. NO ONE ever connects with God by way of his mind. Only an expression of faith in agreement with His Word on an individual basis will allow the Holy Spirit to impart new life.
