This keeps the gas flowing at high volumes for sale purposes. If just using the well for domestic use, the gas can percolate through the liquid at low volumes and might be able to keep up to small usage. But at some point the tube and casing can fill with liquid and you need to swab it out because not enough gas is able to come through. Worst case scenario is when the tube and casing are clear full and push liquid into your service line. That is a sure way to ruin regulators and appliances.
