Kolorado | When they'll calve pricing goes by area. Watched a guy take a $400 head hit for some bred heifers that were bred to calve 2 months later than the average for the area. Early calvers brought a premium.
Silage will last a long time, especially covered. Took us a couple years to get ours eaten up after throwing in the towel on feeding and transitioning to cow/calf. Between feeding while weaning and growing heifers, plus maybe dry lot some cows while calving, you should get it gone.
