just settle with them without dumping big lawyer bucks down the rat hole.
next time put that bag in a less dangerous place, maybe just disc around it a couple hundred feet away. figure what you lost is what it cost you to come to this conclusion.
have read your account of this and am really sorry it happened. what a mess. wildfire is a really bad thing no matter where it occurs.
