Amherst WI | My mother passed away about a month ago. I have been going through her stuff since it’s a disorganized mess of 76 years in this earth with all kinds of stuff that should have been thrown out along the way and the parallels to what your going through and what started my parent’s divorce is eerily similar.
My mom never got over the divorce and liked to type out out nastygram letters to anyone who would listen. They divorced in 1992 and you’d think it happened last week.
I will say for the kids sake to stay strong, don’t insult their mother, hold your temper and be there for them always no matter what. Eventually the kids will gravitate towards the adult in the room.
Going through that stuff is opening a lot of old wounds about both my parents and the fact I’m not in prison or on drugs after looking back at some of that stuff is a miracle in itself. | |
