Running the planter over it twice was one treatment. The strip-till treatments were using a custom operators Orthmann coulter type strip-till bar. Basically I wanted to see if I could get a similar yield benefit with my planter if needed vs buying a separate piece of equipment. Definitely not trying to say that using the planter to clear residue a few days ahead of putting seed in the ground is full on strip tillage.
