Subject: RE: Eating once a day

Pittsburg, Kansas
Wife and I tried it for maybe a week. It is not that hard if fat adapted and on a very low carb diet eating enough meat with some fat on the meat.

Our lifestyle just works better with two meals a day. Occasionally we will only eat one but usually two. An exception is while here in Bonaire a small breakfast in included so we eat it. Two eggs basically, so a light breakfast. Then we eat a pretty light lunch while down here.

For much of the year we like to take a motorcycle ride around lunch and eat out. Probably two or three times a week. In fact we rarely eat out supper any more. It is made at home most of the time. An exception to that is when here in Bonaire as we go out to eat probably once a week for supper with friends.

So the two meals just fit our particular lifestyle better. It is not that we are all that hungry at lunch time. We will get a little hungry more based on the time we are used to eating rather than real hunger. If we decide to skip lunch it is no big deal. The slight hunger passes in about an hour and don't even notice it till supper. Might have an apetizer an hour before but supper is usually pretty late. 7-8 pm, sometimes later.

Once a person is fat adapted and cuts out most of the carbohydrates hunger does not come on the same as it did with high carb eating. Eating carbs, especially starchy carbs, will make a person hungry in a few hours because of the blood sugar spike high and rebound low glucose that results.
