Did replicated trials this year, strip tiller was only a couple bushels better, fert banded at 7". Notill was banded around 4" deep under row.
Hardly worth it for a couple bushels, but does make planting much easier.
And for the broadcast guys, in my area, I have every confidence they can reduce whatever rate they are broadcasting by 25%, with no negligible loss of yield. This dramatically adds to an already tight bottom line, at a time where turning a profit is rather difficult.
