Subject: ATS tie up on stubble?

Lorenzo, tx
Have been applying 250-300lbs of AMS replant for several years, works good. But the price this year is making that not possible. I can get ATS considerably cheaper and still get the same units on N out and double the units of sulphur. I sort of no-till cotton and in places the ground is completely covered with trash, if I spray ATS it’s obviously gonna get on the trash. Will it just tie up on the trash? Or will it wash off and work into the soil? My guess is tie up and after a long period work into the soil. Would streaming make a difference? Zero experience with streaming fertilizer. I have a row cleaner plow I can run to clean a strip and get some bare ground exposed and could band the ATS on the bare ground if stubble is gonna be an issue. Thanks all!
