I also am quite certain that Putin engages in propaganda. I am equally sure that our own side engages in propaganda also. And no, not only since Trump took office.
One thing that stuck out throughout the entire Ukraine/Russia war is how our side was doing the talking for Putin. Our news has literally been telling us what Putin is thinking, not Putin himself. I am quite sure many are very upset that Trump met with Putin and how that can mean nothing else than Trump is a “Putin puppet”. In all of this time during the war, has anyone ever stopped to actually meet with Putin, allow him to relay what he wants, AND ACCEPT HIS ANSWER? The answer is no. What little communication there was resulted in anything Putin did say being spun to mean something else and any gaps in what he was thinking was filled in by our side. In other words, the news spread propaganda.
Edit to add: BTW, USAID funded the regime change that resulted in Zelensky being installed.
