I wouldn't recommend eating just once a day as that will definitely not help you lose weight
Your wrong about that.
I weighed 397, now I'm 270ish.
I'm 6'6 and big like a football player
I've found if I eat 3000 calories or so a day ill lose weight. If I eat 3000-3500 I'll maintain, and go over I'll gain.
I eat meat, meat, and more meat, along with fresh vegetables or canned, and a pile of fruits.
Meat wise it's deer, beef, chicken, mainly
Vegetables it's cabbage, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, corn squash, onions, tomatoes, cucumber etc.
I eat potatoes and I will eat a rice several times per month
Fruits are pineapple, apples, strawberries, banana, grapes, and a orange here or there.
Very little bread no sweets like cookies or cakes. I also eat pecans and peanuts and peanut butter.
Not much cheese or milk, occasionally some yogurt but I love butter.
No fast food
I also drink a good gallon and a 1/2 to 2 gallons a day of water/diet mtn dew
I started eating like this and lost 50 pounds no problem then I hit a plateau. I tried less calories but stayed hungry, and could not lose weight.
Figured if I was hungry, I'd just go all day then eat supper and be content. Started that 2 years ago and I've lost 75 more pounds.
Read up on intermittent fasting/omad diet or warrior diet. It works as I've lost alot of weight eating this way.
My blood sugar went from 9.2 to a 5 and no more metforman.
My cholesterol is excellent. The key to health is high protein, high fiber, carbs from natural foods. Skip processed foods unless it's jerky.
I also keep a food diary of what I eat, that seems to help keep me focused.
I usually eat 100 grams of carbs per day or less and several hundred grams of protein per day. I get all vitamins from the meat and vegetables.
You cannot dispute 3000 calories per day over 3 meals hitting a plateau...
3000 calories per day, ate over several hrs one giant feast of a meal and the weight comes off.
One meal a day works
I wanted to add I'm 46 years old, soon to be 47 and I'm pretty active. No gym, just routine farm work lol
I do walk several miles everyday going through poultry houses.
