Coles County, Illinois | You got to look at the whole system. First of all you need for the system to have a constant slope in the main. Stringers can have a shallower rate but the main's slope should be constant. Sometimes one has to put in the outlet deeper than they would like in order to get enough depth where the main begins. Here we like to drain down to 40" but my outlet is a good 60" below the surface. Heavy rains will completely flood this area deeper than the surface but eventually it'll drain down. The issue isn't with the tile. The issue is downstream maybe 50 or 60 miles away. | |
