just a tish NE of central ND
A 1969 4020 will run with the sound of a "lisp" or a strange un-eaven exhaust to some degree for some reason and be a perfectly good working engine. But you go to remember these things are old and the CB pumps were less than perfect, and parts are a bit scarce....... but they did run a long time already. So Change it out to the other style of Roosa-master pump and be go to go. They both fit but you have to change with matching injector lines. But even with new injectors and injectors and a good overhaul, that 69 tractor will still run with the lisp in the exhaust at idle.
I suspect that feeding the exhaust from one end of the engine in one direction through the length of exhaust manifold to the other end and then exiting through that small upper muffler pipe is the reason for the lisp sounding exhaust.
