North Central KS | Very similar, seed cost is much lower, only $13/acre at 50k pop. Chemical is actually a touch higher for me than corn, that last pass with the sprayer chasing the planter is hefty on the checkbook. We have farm averages in the 80s. Can go from 30-120bu. Versus corn being 0-150. Sold by the bushel. I’m wondering why you are even asking if there is even a market nearby for you? The exciting part about milo is that if china wants it the basis can get real crazy but doesn’t happen often. | |
