| Oil is cheap compared to transmission, hydraulic pumps and valves. Why take a chance? Especially on an old case powershift. Change that damned old oil and have a time out in the corner while it drains and think about how that powershift pack costs about 15k to rebuild. 17 years????? Come on... i dont care what the test says that oil will be black as your boots.
Edit: to the OP, filters annually, (always have fuel and hydraulic on the shelf in case restriction light or power problem) 4 years is when i try to change all fluids including coolant. Oil always comes out dark at that point, coolant could be overkill but have been around 301 Allis engines that have failed do to poor coolant maintenance I just wont take the chance.
