Use your yield map since that's your best direct answer to "productivity" in the field. Use more than one year if it'll allow and you have more than one year's data.
Most systems will allow you to edit the Rx rates per little grid square on the finished map. So you can do the lower rates along fence lines and clean up any other spots you "know" you want to be a certain rate.
