We struggled horribly with hairpinning with our deere disk drills, honestly the biggest reason we quit using stripper heads. Neighbor runs one and uses bg disk now, traded his 1890 on it, said it works better than the deere

We don’t have much of a problem with hair pinning. In fact I have a neighbor who uses a stripper header and he will seed two consecutive crops of wheat and then a pulse so he’s seeding into 2 years of stubble with his 1890. What helps is he seeds a different direction every time. Plus we use Niaux blades which are better than the JD factory blades and they are what Bourgalt uses apparently. I’m running Bourgault Niaux blades on my 1890.
