I've got a 12 row 30" planter with 4 ground drive wheels, 1 on each wing & 2 on main frame. I am wondering why do I need more than 2 drive wheels when they are all driving 1 transmission? Just trying to save a little weight w/o having to add lift assist wheels & be in the way. What are your thought? I can't imagine there would be any wheel slippage if you pin the wings to run rigid.
